Jackie Shroff, known for his charismatic personality, once faced controversy following allegations of inappropriate behavior towards actress Tabu.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred when a young Tabu, then 14, accompanied her sister, actress Farah Naaz, to Mauritius where Farah was filming "Diljalaa" with Jackie Shroff.
During their stay, Danny Denzongpa hosted a party for the cast and crew. Allegedly, Jackie Shroff, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attempted to kiss Tabu without her consent. It is said that Tabu resisted the advance, and Danny Denzongpa intervened to stop the situation.
Farah Naaz initially spoke out against Jackie Shroff, accusing him of inappropriate behavior. However, she later retracted her statement, describing the event as a "misunderstanding." Tabu herself has never publicly addressed the incident and has not worked with Jackie Shroff in any film since.
Tabu, whose real name is Tabassum Fatima Hashmi, began her acting career in "Bazaar" at the age of 11. She gained wider recognition through roles in films such as "Hum Naujawan," "Vijaypath," "Maachis," "Chandni Bar," "Haider," and "Maqbool." She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performances in "Maachis" and "Chandni Bar." Most recently, Tabu starred in "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha" alongside Ajay Devgn and is slated to appear in "Bahoot Bangla."
Jackie Shroff's most recent appearance was in "Housefull 5."
