Vijay Sethupathi, a celebrated actor, has publicly responded to recent concerns regarding his son, Surya Vijay Sethupathi, and his acting debut in the movie 'Phoenix'.
According to India Glitz, Vijay Sethupathi used the film's premiere to express his sincere gratitude to the team and the audience in attendance. He voiced confidence that the film would deeply resonate with viewers in cinemas.
The celebratory mood was somewhat dampened by accusations that the actor pressured people to remove certain online videos related to his son. Vijay Sethupathi addressed the allegations with a candid explanation when questioned by reporters. "If something like that happened, it might have been done unknowingly or by someone else. I sincerely apologize if anyone was hurt or misunderstood the intention."
Adding significant momentum to 'Phoenix' prior to its premiere was an endorsement from superstar Thalapathy Vijay.
The actor saw the film privately and gave the team his thoughts. Anal Arasu, the director and well-known stunt choreographer, posted a photo of Vijay and Surya on social media with the message, "Bloody sweet! That’s the vibe after Thalapathy Vijay sir watched Phoenix and shared his MERSAL MAXX words! The Phoenix is flying on FIRE now!"
Although Vijay did not release a formal review, Surya Vijay Sethupathi was profoundly affected by his kind encouragement.
The young actor reposted the message and said, "Thank you, Vijay sir. The last hug, the kind words, the warmth — it meant everything. I’ve always looked up to you, and to feel your support on this journey is something I’ll never forget.”
'Phoenix,' directed by Anal Arasu, stars Surya Vijay Sethupathi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Devadarshini, and Sampath. Velraj is in charge of photography, Sam C.S. is in charge of music, and Praveen K.L. is in charge of editing.
Meanwhile, 'Phoenix' has been released in theaters and is garnering positive feedback.
