However, casting plans took an unexpected turn.

The Reason Behind Hrithik Roshan's Departure

According to Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik Roshan admired the script and the project's ambitious scale. Nevertheless, the prospect of portraying another villain, particularly after his recent intense roles, was not something he wished to pursue immediately.

Reportedly, Hrithik felt a strong connection with his fans as a hero. Following extensive discussions with Nitesh Tiwari and the production team, Hrithik made the decision to step away from Ramayan. Although his departure was amicable, it prompted the filmmakers to seek a new Ravana, someone capable of matching the magnitude and charisma that Hrithik would have brought to the role.

The search was swift. The team looked to Yash, the KGF sensation, whose commanding screen presence and devoted fan base made him a suitable candidate for the challenge.

Yash, represented by the same agency as one of the producers, expressed keen interest and accepted the role.
