Chasing a modest target of 175, India reached the finish line in a mere 24 overs, thanks to Suryavanshi's sensational 19-ball 48. The young star, already known for becoming the youngest centurion in men’s T20s during this year’s IPL for Rajasthan Royals, blasted five towering sixes and three boundaries, setting the tone for a dominant Indian performance.

Suryavanshi's explosive innings, shared a 71-run partnership with captain Ayush Mhatre. Following the match, the talented teenager shared a post on social media with the team’s sports massage therapist, Mangesh Gaikwad, soundtracked by the uplifting song Aashayein from the Bollywood film Iqbal.

Despite a brief wobble after Suryavanshi's departure, wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu anchored the chase with an unbeaten 45, ensuring India's comfortable victory with 26 overs to spare.

Indian U19 team celebrates victory over England

Earlier in the day, England, after winning the toss and electing to bat, were dismissed for 174 in 42.2 overs. Debutant Isaac Mohammed provided some fireworks with a quickfire 42 off 28 balls, including four sixes and three fours. Rocky Flintoff contributed a resilient 56, but lacked substantial support from the other batsmen.

The Indian spin duo of Mohamed Enaan and Kanishk Chouhan proved instrumental in stifling the England innings, claiming five wickets between them. Their tight bowling was complemented by sharp fielding, including a run-out and some well-taken catches.

This commanding victory follows India's impressive 231-run win against a Young Lions Invitational XI at Loughborough, further highlighting their strong form on this tour.
