Sri Lanka to Tour Zimbabwe for White-Ball Series Showdown
Zimbabwe is gearing up to host Sri Lanka in a thrilling white-ball series consisting of two One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). All matches are scheduled to take place at the Harare Sports Club in Harare, commencing on August 29th.

Givemore Makoni, the Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming series, stating, "We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka's visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series."
The T20I leg of the tour holds particular significance for the Zimbabwean side. It serves as crucial preparation ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final, hosted by Zimbabwe starting September 19th. This tournament presents Zimbabwe with a golden opportunity to secure their qualification for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2027.
Makoni further emphasized the importance of the series, adding, "Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket, and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign."
This series forms part of a packed three-month schedule for Zimbabwe. Following the Sri Lanka series, they are also set to host South Africa and New Zealand for two-match Test series. Sandwiched between these Test encounters will be a T20I tri-series featuring all three nations, promising a feast of cricket for fans.
