Rishabh Pant, the dynamic Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, has surged to a career-best seventh position in the ICC Test rankings for batters. This achievement follows his stellar performance in the first Test against England, where he scored two centuries.

Pant's impressive scores of 134 and 118 in the Leeds Test, making him only the second wicketkeeper in history to achieve this feat, helped him match Zimbabwe's Andy Flower as the only wicketkeepers to score two centuries in the same Test match.

His success is particularly inspiring given his near-fatal car accident in December 2022, where he narrowly escaped a burning vehicle. After a 15-month absence from the sport, Pant's return has been nothing short of sensational.
