Speculation arose after Raducanu was seen supporting Alcaraz at the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club. This prompted a reporter to directly ask about the nature of their relationship.

Raducanu responded with a simple, "We're just good friends."

When the reporter attempted to move on, Raducanu playfully quipped, "Way to wrap up," showcasing her sense of humor.

The pair recently practiced together, preparing for their mixed doubles debut at the US Open.

"It was fun yesterday. We were both on court with Evian, just getting some volley practice ahead of New York. I'm really happy to be playing with him. We had a great time," Raducanu explained.

Raducanu revealed that Alcaraz initiated the partnership. "Yes, he asked me. He asked me earlier on in the year, and I was very surprised, honored, and excited," she added.
