In an interview with The Telegraph, Dr. Pardiwala acknowledged Pant's athletic background, stating, "Rishabh trained as a gymnast. Although he looks large, he is quite agile, and he does have a lot of flexibility. And, that’s why he’s been doing those somersaults of late. It’s a well-practised and perfected move — unnecessary though!”

Pant's return to cricket has been remarkable, considering the extent of his injuries sustained in the car accident on December 30, 2022. The crash, which occurred while he was driving from Delhi to Roorkee, resulted in multiple injuries that sidelined him for an extended period.
