In a recent interview, Maran addressed the attention, explaining that her visible emotions are a direct result of her deep involvement and passion for the team's performance. She also humorously noted the cameraman's uncanny ability to capture her reactions, regardless of her location in the stadium.

Maran, daughter of Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran, first caught the public eye during the 2023 IPL auction, where she spearheaded SRH's strategic player acquisitions. Since then, her presence at SRH games has become a focal point, with her reactions to the on-field action quickly going viral across social media platforms.

"Those are my raw emotions that you're seeing," Maran explained, "because my job has brought me to the point that I have to put myself out there... But even when I go to Ahmedabad or Chennai... the cameraman manages to find me. So, I understand how it becomes memes."
