The entertainment industry is in mourning following the unexpected passing of actress Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic role in 'Kaanta Laga'. Among those grieving is her former husband, Harmeet Singh, of the renowned musical duo Meet Bros.

In a recent interview, Harmeet shared his sorrow upon hearing the news and expressed his regret at being unable to attend her final rites.

Remembering Their Final Meeting

Harmeet and Shefali were married from 2005 to 2009. Despite the challenges they faced, time had softened any past grievances. Speaking with Vickey Lalwani, Harmeet recalled a specific flight back home with Shefali. "I remember going to Bangladesh for a show about two-three years ago. Sunny Leone, Shefali, and I flew back together in a private plane. Shefali and I sat next to each other and spoke for quite a long time," he recounted.

He further mentioned that they always greeted each other warmly when their paths crossed at events and parties over the years. "The fact that Shefali is no more is shattering," he expressed.

A Distant Farewell

On Saturday, Harmeet posted a photo of Shefali on Instagram, accompanied by a touching message. "I’m absolutely shattered and in disbelief after hearing about Shefali’s sudden and untimely demise," he wrote.

"We shared a few beautiful years together—a time I’ll always hold close to my heart."

He conveyed his deepest condolences to her parents, husband Parag, and sister Shivani, adding that the distance made his grief even more profound.

Shefali was reportedly brought to Bellevue Multi-speciality Hospital around 11 am, where she was pronounced dead, with a suspected cardiac arrest as the cause. Her funeral was held in Mumbai.
