Actress Esha Gupta has finally addressed the swirling rumors regarding a potential relationship with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gupta clarified the nature of their connection, revealing that while they were in contact for a brief period, it never blossomed into a full-fledged romance.

According to Gupta, the interaction spanned a few months and remained in the preliminary stages. Compatibility issues and unfortunate timing were cited as the primary reasons for their connection fizzling out before it could evolve further.
"Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months," Gupta stated, emphasizing the short duration and limited scope of their association.
She further elaborated that their interactions were minimal. "We were at that 'maybe it will happen, maybe it won't' stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage... We met once or twice, that's it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended."
Gupta acknowledged the potential that existed, but ultimately, circumstances prevented a deeper connection from forming. "Maybe it could have happened," she said, before adding, "things fizzled out quickly."
The actress also made it clear that the end of their communication was amicable and free of any drama. "There was no drama or bitterness," she asserted. "It just wasn't meant to be."
Addressing Pandya's controversial appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, Gupta confirmed that their communication had already ceased before the incident occurred. "That part didn't affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained. She chose to abstain from adding to the public criticism, stating, "They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?"
Hardik Pandya is currently not participating in India's five-match Test tour of England. His next expected appearance for the Indian team is against Bangladesh in August.
